Privacy policy

This policy explains how SignalVertex Consulting (Pty) Ltd ("we", "us") processes personal information when you use signalvertex.digital and submit an inquiry. We act as the responsible party under the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).

What we collect

• Inquiry form: name, email address, optional phone number, and your message text.
• Cookie preference: a value stored in your browser (localStorage) recording whether you accepted or rejected the cookie notice. No analytics cookies are used.

We do not run analytics, advertising pixels, or third-party tracking on this site.

Why we process it and lawful bases

• Respond to your inquiry — form fields — legitimate interest / steps prior to contract at your request.
• Record cookie choice — consent key in localStorage — consent (POPIA s11(1)(a)).
• Meet legal and tax record-keeping — business correspondence — legal obligation where applicable.

Form handling

Inquiries are sent via HTTPS as JSON to /api/inquiry on signalvertex.digital. The handler stores messages only to respond to you and manage any engagement paperwork. There is no automated profiling.

Retention

Inquiry messages are kept only as long as needed to respond, negotiate scope, and maintain ordinary business records, then deleted or archived according to internal retention schedules unless law requires longer storage.

Your rights

Under POPIA you may request access, correction, deletion of outdated information, and object to processing where applicable. Contact the Information Officer to exercise these rights. You may lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa).

Cross-border transfers

We do not intentionally transfer inquiry data outside South Africa unless you ask us to use tools hosted elsewhere as part of a scoped engagement; that would be agreed separately in writing.

Security

Inquiries are submitted over HTTPS to our same-domain API handler. Hosting security is managed under contracts with our infrastructure providers.
